The "Systema Gladiatoria" project - is developing by the initiative group of enthusiastic psychologists, engineers and professional fencers researching the art of fencing and melee combat.
What for?
For perfect combining of the Human and the Blade in order to fully realize their mutual potential with the help of modern science!
WE KNOW THAT
In 21 century we can't hit each other in fencing duels with sharpened swords as our ancestors did...
No video game can transmit such real melee combat experience.
The best solution here is to combine (synthesise) real actual fighting with digital reality (VR and AR).
Modern technologies can help us re-create a real melee fight experience without any reduction upon weapons or combat fencing techniques, power and strikes velocities... And without any participants casualties! (Real fight - digital blood!)

HOW?
To revive the Gladiator Games in their pristine form we created an A.R.T. of Gladiatoria!
The System consisting of 3 interdependent parts
Arsenal - a special humanized melee weapons and correspondent armor complex which also implies use of special sensors
Rules - a unique complex of real time quality-quantity combat results registration and duels refereeing
Training program that allows anyone to become a Gladiator in a short time regardless of their age, gender or physical conditions
The A.R.T. of GLADIATORIA
Arsenal complex consists of:
- Sharpless weapons made out of the special synthetic material. The synthetic blades identical by their weight, geometry and balance characteristics to real sharpened historical combat weapons but safe for health.
- The Smart Handle gadget - special digital device that able to calculate the impact of the all blade strikes, with the purpose of gathering data, such as: hits velocity, impact power, hit location, type of strike, type of "wound".

Armor arsenal complex provides:
- A solid protection from any melee impact during the fight;
- Impressive authentic historical look ranging from ancient times to the Renaissance period, representing various cultures and styles from all around the world.
The A.R.T. of GLADIATORIA
Rules. This is the key part of the system.
It consists of:
- The Rules of Gladiatoria - a unique system of the competitive fencing rules that gives the most objective evaluating of the fencer-athlete actions ever.
- Show Core or Diagnostic Interpreter program: special melee combat expertise and regulations (plus safety protocols), sensors data interpretation;
- A "Pollice Verso" software - mobile online interactive application for spectators, visualization show program.
The A.R.T. of GLADIATORIA
The special swordsmanship training program allows to anyone become a Gladiator in the fast record terms.
The program consist of two parts - the courses:
- The Basic Training Course - from Zero level, takes 1-3 months and gives all necessary skills to begin surely fighting on Arena.
- The Advanced Training Course - for experienced athletes who wants to achieve the Master level of fencing.
FENCING FOR ALL!
Anyone can practice the Systema Gladiatoria: starting from the age of 6, regardless of the level of physical fitness.
As the example, the brand new Ukrainian fencing sport, Horting Fencing, uses the elements of Systema Gladiatoria training program and rules is now successfully applied into the official educational programs of the Ukrainian schools and military colleges.
